Dr. Mark Antosz
Professional
Dr. Antosz received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia in 1980.
He was in general practice of dentistry in Dawson Creek, BC for 5 years, and he attended the orthodontic program at the University of Toronto in 1985.
He and his wife Brenda packed their belongings and 1-year-old son and headed to Ontario. After 4 years of work, study and research, they headed back west to one of their favourite cities, Calgary, where Brenda had lived and attended school in the past.
Dr. Antosz began practice as a Specialist in Orthodontics in 1988 and has been in his current location since 1990.
Personal
Dr. Antosz was born and raised in Victoria, BC and spent time in Dawson Creek and Prince George, BC, before attending the University of British Columbia.
He graduated from UBC with his degree in Dental Medicine in 1980 and entered private general practice in Dawson Creek until 1985. Dr. Antosz, his wife Brenda and their first son moved East, and he began a combined program of Specialization in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with a focus on bone cell physiology at the University of Toronto.
In 1988, they moved back to the West to Calgary (with 2 more sons in tow) where he began his private orthodontic practice. They have been proud to call Calgary home ever since.
Dr. Antosz still enjoys the worlds of Marvel and DC Comics and science fiction, and that crazy collection of statues, lightsabers and paintings are there because… well, he thinks itʼs cool!
Dr. Robert Vincelli
Professional
Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Dr. Vincelli attended Mc Gill University for both his Bachelor of Science (Major in Physiology) and Dentistry degrees. He graduated in Dentistry in 2015 and then headed south to Philadelphia for his certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Pennsylvania.
Personal
With always a love for nature and the outdoors (he is an avid skier, hiker and cyclist), Dr. Vincelli wanted a change from the hustle and bustle of the East. So, he headed West. Calgary’s unique offer of both metropolitan and outdoor lifestyles is what appeals to him most.
Besides roaming around in the wilderness, you may also find Dr. Vincelli locked up in a music recording studio or playing at a music venue. Having played guitar and mandolin in a Montreal-based folk-rock band, Dr. Vincelli continues to incorporate his love for music into his life.
Dr. Ziana Esmail
Professional
Dr. Esmail completed her Bachelor of Science at Mc Gill University and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery with distinction from the University of Western Ontario. She was awarded the Ontario Dental Association Proficiency award for demonstrating merit in dentistry and making meaningful contributions.
Dr. Esmail furthered her education by completing a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. While there, she received clinical training in hospital dentistry, treating medically compromised and special needs patients. She then moved to central Canada to complete her Masters of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Manitoba.
Personal
Dr. Esmail was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. In her personal time, Dr. Esmail enjoys practising yoga, immersing herself in nature with hiking and camping, and exploring new countries. After moving around Canada, she is excited to return to her roots and provide quality orthodontic care in her home city.

I have been working with Dr. Antosz for over 25 years and have made many friends here, both patients and staff. When I’m not working, I’m trying to stay fit and enjoying time with my husband, children and grandchildren.
Shantell
Treatment Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant
I have been with Dr. Antosz since 2000. You may see me in the clinic or educating patients on treatment options. I also enjoy going out into our community and sharing a good deed on behalf of the office. Outside of work, I am very involved with my 3 beautiful children and seeking new adventures to explore.
Deanne
Deanne has been working in dental offices since high schoool. She graduated from dental assisting in 1999 and moved to orthdontics which had always been of special interest to her.
Deanne and her husband are very busy with their two teenage girls and their many interests. Some of these are cooking, baking, and the outdoors.
Jessica
A born and raised Calgarian, Jessica enjoys roller blading on the river pathways.
Kathy Y
Admin/RDA
Although a new staff member to us, Kathy has been an orthodontic assistant for a very long time. Her experience includes time spent working overseas during which she lived in a desert and rode camels. Back in the land of snow, you will find her at the front desk, dreaming of a warm vacation. Why not share your favourite destination with her so she can add it to her bucket list!
Kathy loves seafood and likes hiking, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Mariah
We welcome this newest member of our orthodontic team.
Mariah enjoys spending time in the mountains, snowboarding or camping with her black lab.
Terri
Terri has worked as a dental assistant for many years.
When she is not working, she likes to be at the lake, sitting by a campfire and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys her cats which she describes as “pretty cool.”
Taryn
A dental assistant since 2008, Taryn loves being able to transform our patients’ smiles.
She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children.
Krista
Sometimes it is difficult for Krista to believe that she is the mom of two teenage girls. EEK! (Her word, not ours.)
Krista is also mom to a furry golden retriever named Gus. In her spare time, she paints in her art studio.
Kathy D
On August 20, Kathy started working at AV Ortho. She enjoys her job and the people she works with.
Kathy loves seafood. She also likes hiking, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Vicki
Vicky says she has five awesome kids: 4 boys and 1 girl and an amazing husband. Lucky her!
Vicki’s favourite foods are peanut butter, dark choc, blueberries, and beans.
In her free time she walks, watches her kids play soccer, and bakes.
Sandi
Besides being a wife, Sandi is the mother of two grown children.
She is a chairside dental assistant and has worked in general dentistry in Ontario and Calgary. At the moment, Sandi is a treatment co-ordinator.
She enjoys power walking alone or with her hubby or friends. She also enjoys gardening, spending time with her kids, and even pet sitting.
Nicole
About 10 years ago, Nicole was a patient of Dr. A’s. She joined our team in 2020. Nicole says that the office atmosphere never fails to brighten her day!
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys being out and about and spending time with her family and, of course, her cat.
